Hemodialysis Center

Department Introduction

Our hospital established the Hemodialysis Unit on December 24, 1984, providing hemodialysis (dialysis) care for patients with uremia.
For nearly 40 years, we have served uremic patients in the Dazhu–Dong District area.

On October 1, 2008, the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit was officially established, offering an alternative renal replacement therapy—peritoneal dialysis—for patients with uremia.

Since its establishment on December 24, 1984, the Hemodialysis Center initially served veterans and their dependents.
Beginning in 1988, services were expanded to the general public.

The Hemodialysis Center provides both routine and emergency hemodialysis services.
The average number of dialysis sessions has gradually increased to approximately 1,400 sessions per month.

The center features a bright, clean, and tranquil environment with spacious facilities.
Nephrology attending physicians conduct daily ward rounds, and dialysis care is provided by experienced, professionally trained nursing staff.
The center currently operates 30 dialysis beds.

To ensure a safe treatment environment, the Dialysis Center implements separate beds, machines, and designated treatment areas for patients with Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, minimizing the risk of cross-infection.

In addition to internal disinfection of dialysis machines after each session, external surfaces are cleaned with bleach.
Vendors perform regular and thorough maintenance and inspections.

Strict monthly water quality monitoring (biochemical parameters and bacterial counts) is conducted, and dialysis water is annually tested by accredited independent institutions to ensure compliance with ultrapure water standards.

The center utilizes Japan-imported ultrapure water systems and dialysis machines, as well as high-flux dialyzers, to ensure patient safety and high-quality dialysis care.

2. Peritoneal Dialysis Center

Facilities include a Peritoneal Dialysis Office (physician's office and PD outpatient clinic) and a Peritoneal Dialysis Treatment and Patient Education Room.
Currently, several patients are receiving peritoneal dialysis care.
