Department Overview

The Emergency Department provides 24/7 year-round emergency medical services. All patients are seen directly by board-certified emergency physicians, who coordinate further inpatient treatment, outpatient follow-ups, or surgical interventions as needed. Committed to patient-centered care, the department combines medical expertise, quality, and compassion to ensure patients receive the best and most continuous medical care.

Scope of Services

1. Provides round-the-clock emergency services in internal medicine, surgery, and psychiatry, with obstetrics and gynecology available by appointment during nights and holidays.

2. Participates in the national emergency medical network to support emergency care missions.

3. Since 2010, designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare as an Emergency Responsibility Hospital in a medically underserved area of Hsinchu County.

4. Implements high-quality emergency medical response plans in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Hsinchu County Health Bureau, including regular CPR + AED training.

5. Deploys medical personnel for disaster response drills to enhance emergency medical readiness.

6. Conducts annual mass casualty and hazardous chemical disaster drills to strengthen hospital-wide emergency mobilization capabilities.

7. Serves as a training hospital for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in cooperation with the Hsinchu County Fire Department.

8. A partner hospital for rural emergency rotation training of emergency medicine residents.
