Department Overview

Our General Surgery team is composed of specialist surgeons who not only possess expert skills but are also committed to providing professional and compassionate care to every patient. In collaboration with the Radiology Department, we actively participate in breast cancer screening programs. We continuously strive to improve and expand the services offered by Taipei Veterans General Hospital Hsinchu Branch.

1. Outpatient surgeries, including treatment of:

   • Paronychia (nail infections)

   • Lipomas

   • Epidermoid cysts

   • Sebaceous cysts

   • Corns

2. Gastrointestinal surgeries, including operations on:

   • Stomach

   • Duodenum

   • Small intestine

   • Appendix

3. Liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen surgeries

4. Laparoscopic abdominal surgeries, including:

   • Gallbladder removal

   • Appendectomy

5. Emergency abdominal conditions and trauma care

6. Breast surgeries

7. Endocrine surgeries, including:

   • Thyroid

   • Parathyroid

8. Hernia surgeries, including:

   • Inguinal hernia

   • Abdominal wall hernia

Also provides cancer referral and follow-up consultation services.
