Pharmacy

Department Overview

The Department of Pharmacy is structured according to operational needs and includes the following units:
  • Outpatient/Emergency Pharmacy
  • Inpatient Pharmacy
  • Traditional Medicine Pharmacy
  • Inventory Management Unit
  • Pharmacy Administration Unit
  • Procurement Administration Unit

Services Provided
1. Medication Dispensing Services
  • Prescription dispensing for:
    • Outpatient
    • Emergency
    • Inpatient
    • Traditional Medicine Pharmacy
  • Prescription review and evaluation across all departments
  • Dispensing of special medications (e.g., PCA – Patient-Controlled Analgesia)
  • Patient medication counseling
  • Drug information and consultation services
2. Clinical Pharmacy Services
  • Clinical rounds in intensive care units (ICU)
  • Antibiotic use evaluation
  • Adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting
  • Participation in interdisciplinary care team evaluations
  • Formulary management (editing and updates)
  • Providing drug-related information to physicians and nursing staff
3. Inventory Management
  • Distribution and supply of medications and medical materials
  • Inventory and expiration date management
  • Coding and data entry for new drugs and supplies
  • Database maintenance of medications and medical supplies
  • Reporting defective products
4. Education and Training
  • Internal academic programs
  • Sending pharmacists to external training programs
  • Hosting internal and external academic exchange activities
  • New drug introductions
  • Training programs for clinical medical personnel (including new pharmacists)
  • Internship training for pharmacy students
