Innovation — Rural Medical Education Model (2022.12.15)

To promote the cultivation of medical professionals in rural areas, Taipei Veterans General Hospital Hsinchu Branch signed a Teaching Hospital Cooperation Agreement with National Tsing Hua University. Together, we aim to establish a sustainable Rural Medical Education Model, committed to recruiting and retaining local healthcare talent to serve rural and underserved communities.

Extension — Winter Break IDS Rural Medical Visit – Visit by NYCU School of Medicine
To foster the development of rural healthcare talent, Director Dr. Chih-Chieh Yang and Deputy Director Dr. Yuan-Yi Chang from NYCU School of Medicine led a group of faculty and students to visit Taipei Veterans General Hospital Hsinchu Branch. The hospital guided the group to Tianhu Village, located at an altitude of around 700 to 900 meters, to visit a home-based palliative care case, allowing students to experience the depth and breadth of medical services in rural areas.
