Discharge Procedure

  1. Based on the patient’s condition or at the patient’s request, the attending physician may approve discharge, transfer to another hospital, or issue a prescription for take-home medication upon discharge.
  2. The ward nursing staff or administrative clerk will assist you with the following services:
    • Issue a prescription for discharge medications (according to the doctor’s orders)
    • Prepare an itemized hospital bill
    • Arrange follow-up outpatient appointments if continued treatment is required

Inpatient Services Unit:
  • The patient (or representative) should bring the following to the Inpatient Services Counter, located on the 1st floor of the First Medical Building, to complete payment and discharge procedures:
    • Hospital bill
    • Discharge prescription
    • National Health Insurance (NHI) card
  • After processing, the Inpatient Services Unit will stamp and return the receipt and discharge prescription to the patient.
  • Proceed to the Outpatient/Emergency Pharmacy to collect your discharge medications.
